Suspension. With 300hp you need better control than the stock loveboat suspension
H&R/Bilstein setup is a good start, and relatively affordable. I'll give a shout for ECS's "grooved" kit as it offers some height adjustment.
Coilovers get more expensive but offer a huge array of spring choices, which seem to be the key to S4 handling. It all depends on whether you just want to lose the Z71 look and have better road feel, or whether you're going to do track days and need to REALLY stiffen up the car.
If you can afford it, call STaSIS. S4Lynx's Tracksports with 700/800s rides almost as soft as my H&R/Bilsteins (350/325?), but stays much more composed when flogged.
