What vag-com do I need to buy for my car?
The Ross-Tech site is very confusing and their support has been little help - seems like they will only talk to you until after you buy something from them. Tough to figure out what you need until after you buy it.
Anyways, I just need to track down some codes and a CEL in order to sell the car. How much is a VAG-COM worth re-sale? I.e., if I buy the dongle, how much can I re-sell it for a month later?
Would I be better off to just buy the $99 activation?

Yea, you're right. The site is very confusing. It'd be awesome if they had an application guide or

The VAG-COM was the best thing I bought when I had the S4.
Paid for itself after just a few uses. You could just find someone close to you that has one you can borrow if you only need it for a one time read but in my experience, you're going to need it many more times after that if you plan on keeping your car for awhile.
