Clean your wheels till they are spotless and than wax em with your favorite car wax. This will help make cleaning a lot easier. I also really like P21S for cleaning the wheels.

Wax your wheels. You can clean em with a single wipe thereafter.

Also be sure to spray out caliper. It will help reduce build up and squeel.
Use a foam bottle brush to clean INSIDE of wheel. Use P21S or Einmann Fabrik cleaner (at 1/3 the price and EVERY bit as good.)
