Ok here it goes...
Answer me this first....You have an APR chip but didn't do any research on other chips? Why would you ask this now instead searching the archives or posting before you got the APR?

There is extensive data supporting qualities and performance for all these chip...
you just need to search the archives. Honestly, I bought my GIAC-X based on all the information I could find on my own since 1999 (I have an 02'). Reading shootout reviews, charts, and dyno runs. It's all in the archives.
Getting an answer to this today is pure individual preference and speculation. Some people thing APR caused turbo failures in the past while today people may think GIAC is the cause. All chips behave and perform differently with individual branding selling features.
Each chip manufacturer also has different hp and torque outputs (somewhat) and reviews and past experience from the archives indicates that people have rated each one good at different rpm's. Some chips are good low end, some have smooth powerband, some are good top end, some max boost at 1.2+ while others do not exceed .8-1.0 bar. my .02
I think your APR is a wonderful chip. The only way to really decide what is best for you is to drive each and every chip and see which one you like best. Unfortunately we are at the bidding of answers and searching archives. We have to live with our own decisions that may lead to living happily with the chip you bought or always remain wondering why my car is stumbling and hesitating with the chip we bought.
