What's this thing about BMW owners bein' snobs? Doesn't that seem asan overstatement to u S4 owners?

Most people buy Bimmers as a status symbol, not for the car. They think thier car is the greatest..
thing since sliced bread and there for THEY are the greatest thing sinced sliced bread. (hey don't we all?) Bimmer owners just tend to have more of a rectal crainial inversion than most Audi owners.

Cars are like art...
Some people buy artwork (paintings, etc.) for their
egos and to impress people, whereas real art lovers buy what they truly enjoy for themselves.
I think BMW owners fall into both categories, while Audi (and maybe Saab) owners mostly are in the latter...

Great story relating to this . . .
Pulled up to a restaurant yesterday in my M5(also an S4 owner). Parked behind a late model Porsche Targa and across the street from a guy parking his E55. Porsche guy is getting into his car as I'm getting out
Me - I say, "man that's a beautiful car"('cause it was).
Porsche guy says thank you and gets in his car.
The E55 guy gets out of his car and says "lots of expensive cars right here"
Me - "yup, it's a nice collection"
E55 guy - "you know which is the slowest?"
I'm waiting to hear his answer . . .
E55 guy points to the Porsche.
I laugh and walk over to his car and ask, "so, what's this thing like anyway?"
E55 guy - "faster than yours" and walks away from me.
Moral of the story is lots of car owners are dicks, regardless of year, make and model.
I, for one, am happy with the amount of dick I've got, don't want any more.

People that own a Audi and a Bmw like me? I said Most, not all.
I just got my 97' 328i back, WHOOO HOOOO! Between my S and the Bimmer, which car do you think gets more respect? What car do you think people think is faster? Well, its sure not the S. The S is a better car, but I LOVE my bimmer. It's a great car too, but people see it as a status symbol. Drives me crazy.
