What's up with the S4 grill? Seems like some are chrome and some black (the grill, not the trim).

Not black. Gray brush at least for a 2001 S4 grill.

Default Take a look at this pic. Looks chrome. Is that just the lighting?

Do all S4 years have the same grill? Any changes?

Default That's an A4, the grille looks chrome, but

the S4 stock grille is sort of an "anthracite" metalic finish. Not the bright shiney chrome, more subdued.

Default Lighting and glare. At best the grill is a faded or dull black on some cars.

Definately not chrome.

1) Thats an A4 2) Its because it was taken with a lousy digital cam.

Default For everyone's information...

I know that the picture is an A4. Thanks for letting me know that, but it is rather obvious to most people on this board.

However, the fact that it is an A4 does not preclude the fact that it has an S4 grill (i.e. the point we've been talking about this whole time).

I have seen numerous pictures of S4 grills where they appear to be chrome. I assume this is due to lighting. Now, if by cheap digital camera you mean it cannot block out the sun itself, then yes. Otherwise, I assume there is another cause
