cause the car to lurch forward? Call me the n00b, but I don't remember this happening before to this much a degree. Throttle inputs in 1st are very "touchy" and abrupt. Something I should look into besides learning how to drive better? ;-P

Figured it was normal. Must have just changed my driving habits for the worse.

Default sounds like drive-train slop. you say this is new to you? have you done some recent

power mods which might accentuate this?

do you have an upgraded snub mount or DTS?

That's called driving in first gear in a manual car. Common. Be smooth.

I agree. I drive in slow traffic every day with no problem lugging along in 1st gear
