when applying the brakes, the outer part of the caliper compresses right?

when applying the brakes, the outer part of the caliper compresses right?

the pistons on the inside "pull" the outer part in towards the rotor. (stock brakes)

so its probably the caliper rubbing my wheels, damn.

Default If you just put new pads in and not on stock rims, most likely. When...

you put in new pads, the outside of the caliper is further out. May not sound like much, but can be. New pads are close to 10mm, worn pads are under 2mm, so the caliper can move out 8mm.

Something a lot of folks run into when they buy aftermarket rims with worn brakes.

im betting thats what it is, but it sounds like only one spoke of the rim rubs.

Default If so, there is a nub on the outside of the caliper that can be ground down. It might

give just enough clearance. Be careful to not over do it.
