Default when doing a timing belt replacement...

is it prudent to do the water pump and thermostat at the same time ?

Yes, I did them on my B5 1.8T..it is so far in there..and if it is still original equipment..why not. this applies to the S4 as well.

I did both. Did you get the tensioner as well?

and yes, it's been a while. However, I'm starting to lurk again... just got a Vag-Com, getting close to pulling the plug on APR/Miltek/Boost guage ... managed to stay stock for 5 years. I figure it's going to be like getting a new car !

Default Thanks for your quick help last night...forgot to print out the 2nd page

of the Tech write-up. Would've had the damn CV joint fixed in an hour, but darn Audi gave me the wrong outter clip (bigger one). Sucked! My woman and I may take you up on that camping offer.
