When i crank the steering wheel all the way to the left i get a loud noise and vibration...

However, power steering fluid is nearly full

Power steering pump straining. Not good to keep the wheel turned fully one way or the other.

Also, check fluid level.

I get a squeal...

I get a squeal when the wheel is all the way to the left or right..is that normal?

Have you consulted your owners manual?

Because there is a little blurb in there about this...including the fact that you should NOT do this.

If the check arrives for my old brakes tonight (like I'm hoping)...

all will be revealed shortly. ;-) I just want to have the sale completed before I discuss the replacements and the reasons.

The new ones have been on for a few weeks now and work well on the street. The true test will be at Road America on Monday and Tuesday. I plan to exhaustively discuss my decision, but just be patient for a few more days!
