I guess I need to replace my front control arms.
So my front suspension is making noise when I go over small bumps and uneven surface. After some checking I can see the front control arms rubber bushings are damaged and need to be replace.
Can I just change the bushings?<ul><li><a href="http://www.avalonmotorsports.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_2_114 &products_id=132">I know Avalon Motorsports has them, are these the best ones to get?</a></li></ul>

Normally the ball joint is the part that goes bad.
Bushing do to but the ball joint is more common and makes more noise.
The ball joint can't really be replaced.
Many different places sell the control arms, make sure to get a good brand as meyle goes bad very quick.

I just went through this. The 4 upper control arms and tie rod ends are S4 specific. You can't get
these in one of those kits. The kits are A4/A6, etc. parts.
The lowers are the same. So if you want to get the right parts, you have to buy them separately.
It costs a lot more that way, but IMHO, it's worth it. Guess how I know.
So I ordered the upper ones from Craig at genuineaudiparts.com. The lowers you can get from anyone selling the lemford or equivalent brand (don't get Meyle).
