Here's the measurements of energy suspension dts mount
<center><img src="http://www.jegs.com/images/photos/35531108G.jpg"></center><p>I measured the height of everything with a dial caliper. The old DTS mount was worn/compressed so don't take them as gospel.
Old DTS mount: 1.695"
AWE aluminum spacer block: 0.625"
New (required) metal spacer block: 0.17"
New poly mount: 1.965"
The new mount is 0.27" taller than the old one. As I said, the old one was worn and flattened, but I think the new one is still slightly taller than a brand new AWE mount. If anyone has a new AWE mount I would love to hear what it measures.
The slight height difference probably isn't a problem for most people. The reason I was concerned is my APR exhaust already rattles against the bottom of the car, especially when it rains. I did not want to raise the rear of the tranny at all.
I measured 2.28" between my DTS and the bolt mounting surface on the tranny (with no mount installed). I ended up using the new required metal block and several flat "fender" washers on both bolts, as shims between the metal block and the mounting surface on the tranny. The metal piece is required because it preloads the open rubber on the bottom (top as installed) side of the mount. Using the AWE metal block would serve the same function.
Using the energy suspension mount with the AWE block would've raised the rear of my tranny 0.31" higher than it sits with no mount installed. BTW, the front wheels were on ramps. Don't forget.. these mounts don't go in either way. It says the bulge in the rubber should face to the rear of the car.
I guess Pep Boys ripped me off at $29.95 They come in red or black.<ul><li><a href="http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?lang=-1&catalogId=10002&storeId=10001&catego ryId=13001">http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?lang=-1&catalogId=10002&storeId=1

Since mine needs to be replaced, I just so happen to have one here at the house...........
If I remember to take it with me in the morning, I can measure it at work.

1.685" or 1.715 tall? The poly mount does increase noise and vibration slightly
What's the slash for? Either way, it appears the awe mount is slightly shorter than the poly mount.
The thing I like about the poly mount is the internal pin that makes it a better design when put in tension. The old chevy mount is really only designed for compression, because old V-8 engines didn't have front driveshafts that cause the tranny to be lifted upward during decel. You can tell the rubber is most likely torn away from the metal due to being pulled apart.
I'll go on record to say the poly mount does increase noise and vibration slightly. The vibration is bypassing the big subframe mounts and is passed directly to the body of the car.
I think Mike2kS4@ASP may be on to something. If the RS4 tranny mounts can support the extra loads of stage 3, they may be better than a DTS with a poly mount. The RS4 mounts bolt to the subframe, which is still isolated from the body by the subframe rubber mounts.
Thanks for the measurements.

two numbers are the low and high points of what I inspected.................
To do a proper inspection or measurement of a particular dimension, you take your measurement at more than one place, so that you get a range of readings.
So in this case, you can call it 1.700" +/- .015"
