Default While I wait for feedback (a few threads down), Useless Poll:
How many are guilty of selecting gears (essentially short shifting) specifically to induce the audible spool-up whistle? How 'bout to show off the whistle to a passenger, bystander, another car?

I must admit I'm guilty. I'll go through all six gears nice and gently making sure to shift early enough so rpm's at the next gear are around 1500.

Ok, once you've had practice, who can make their turbos whistle the theme to the Andy Griffith Show?

Default You don't need to short shift with K04s and down pipes....
You can hear the turbos spool from 3 blocks away. :-/

holy cow, try it with downpipes, it is a WHOLE NEW sound! downshifting when next to buildings :-)

Default Yeah..but an engine needs to be able to run in order to spool the turbos..
So obviously you are talking about someone else's K04ed car :-P
