You know I never really thought about it before i read that post, but when i made a quik run to blockbuster, i tried it out. And holy sh-t, it is a completely different ANIMAL. Did a couple of runs down the main drag near my house with about 20 miles left in my gas tank. The car pulls so much harder @ 3/4 it's hard trying to keep the pedal at a consistant spot. Anyway, try it out and that's my $.02

Anyone notice a delay or dead spot at 1/8 to 1/4 throttle position on 2001 S4 TIP?

It seems like the throttle body does does not track the accelerator pedal with a quick change from closed (dynamic response).

My S4 was pulling harder at 3/4 throttle , turned out that was due to cracked throttle body , new samco throttle body boot and the car screams at full throttle again . Less throttle less boost to open the crack.

Yeah but it's hard to modulate.
I really notice it when hammering on it while getting on to the freeways. It has (and always has had) that stumble where the computer is trying to control the boost and causes that "hunting" effect.
At 3/4 throttle, it doesn't seem to do that BUT the boost level is still the same. I suspect the boost doesn't spike as hard, therefore the ECU isn't adjusting as much, which causes for a better / smoother movement.

guess we should put a miniature brick under the gas peddle, LOL!
then you won't need to concentrate on the correct amount of depression to get the most kick.
wonder if this can be adjusted with the VAG or by re-learning the ECU?
