It's worth it on a chipped engine. Throttle response is smoother and quicker, making the car feel even faster (and airflow increase is documented). I haven't driven one on a stocker, and can only guess that it wouldn't be as noticeable.

Default I don't think it is...

In my situation, I actually lost top end power. The car did run a tad smoother and mid range punch seemed fine, but over 5K rpm, I felt a noticeably decrease in hp (also revved a lot slower). I installed/uninstalled three times over a period of a few weeks or so just to be certain I wasn't doing anything wrong and each time same results. When I would return to stock...more power!! hmmmmmm. They advertise an increase in airflow of 10% through the MAF, but could this be at a certain rpm? Namely 3000-4000 rpm?

I wanted to believe I was getting what I paid for but the gains simply were not there. My car is chipped (APR) and has VM1.

Default Did you readapt ECU after install-Make sure your intake airport wasn't covered??

sounds like your cars ecu was used to the panel filter and didn't know how to handle the increased airflow. when the AWE results were measured it provided the smoothness and airflow increases all the way to redline over a panel filter..with most of the power gains above 5000 rpm, so something is amiss here! there is no way possible with your setup that the intake wont make more power than a panel filter, both through the design and inherrent flow increases of a sponge cone filter and also the physical way in whicj it straightens the airflow!
