The funny thing about the black line is that people didn't notice it before because..

...it blended in perfectly with their broken displays, and so many people are so used to having broken displays, that they don't recognize ones which work perfectly :-)

What's the cost of the new screens?

I'd like to swap one in. When you say re-bonding the cable, you mean trying to fix the cable that is already there (i.e., putting in a new screen is the preferred alternative)?
