Default No.. not true; I even hit up Mark and Frank for their GT28 Kits but I got a similar

answer from them, which I guess I could understand but so be it...

I will use anything that works and makes the sport better ... and to come out on top.

They had the opportunity..but now I am moving on.. and I will only need to squish all competition.. umm them too

I really hope they WILL bring a few GT cars. I hope I will be ready too... I think it is time to raise the bar and play hard again..

Soo are their MM's any good ? )

Default A couple of details on the ASP motor/tranny mounts and a brief response to your previous (long)...

interest in the GT kit.
There are some fundamental differences in ASP's motor mounts that make them a better perfomance application than what is currently on the market. The first is the use of custom made Polyurethane instead of a rubber bushing spec'd from another application. In all honesty, the red competition inserts are stiff for day to day driving and will not be the first choice by most people unless all out performance is preferred. The yellow performance level poly will be available within a week and will be the perfect balance in performance with only a slight increase in drivetrain feel. The same is applicable for the tranny mounts which are a little easier to install.
The second thing to note is the construction of the unit. The top bolt thread diameter does not require any drilling which makes the install process much easier. Now...here's the cool part...The design of mount enables the installer to remove the bottom portion of the mount with the top bolt still mounted to the engine (the tough part of the install)and replace/exchange the poly. It is a really trick design and one can easily switch for different applications.
As far as the intitial lack of interest to supply you with a GT kit...The kit is a culmination of 1000's of hours of development, where it is imperative that the initial release be confined to cars that Autospeed sets up to get the proper results. How many countless posts do we see of ill Stage 3+ cars that have other issues that affect how it runs due to an install, poor maintenance or other equipment? The other reason is protecting a revolutionary performance advancement in the B5 S4 platform. There are two types of R&D...Research and Development and Ripoff and Duplicate. Don't misinterpret this statement having anything to with your interest because there were many people interested after the initial release. We have already seen another kit released that have setup everything in the exact same location. Whether or not that is from dozen's of motor pulls or just a snap shot such as the one from Waterfest, it is clearly influenced by ASP's GT package. Simply put... an in house market saturation period was necessary to properly release/represent the product and protect the intellectual property. Now that there are many ASP authorized dealers setting up all over the country, anybody with interest should have a somewhat local resource for the GT packages.
Hope that explains some things and maybe entices you to get some motor and tranny mounts.

Default I completely agree with Brian- I swapped the poly mounts in both the trans and the motor...

in somewhere between 2 and 3 hours on jackstands (probably much closer to two, since I was interupted several times).

I had the red (comp) inserts originally and they were pretty stiff for a daily driver but they did seem to settle a bit with some miles.

I tried the softer (blue) inserts for ASP and they are much better for the street. There is a negligible increase in vibration over stock with these mounts, but there is noticibly less engine tranny movement. I also don't really worry about ever having to replace my mounts again due to their construction.

Now I have to see what the heck these yellow inserts are- maybe even better yet.

Secondly, I was honest, frank and genuine with Frank and Mark.. and I heard nothing back .. not a single call back... then you (Brian) responds on their behalf weeks/months later... ???

I am a big boy I can accept answers.. or are you paying attention to me now because, i will come out with a vengeance (i hope) and whoop some a$$

I love the sport and I hope you can show up to German Invasion, because we are all curious about each other (I am ...) we'd all love to see who is doing what and what is out there available ...

Default Well then...not sure where you are coming from and my post seems to be pointless...

to your original question on the motor/tranny mounts. I must be mistaken to the context of your inquiry with the GT's. Not sure about the details of your message to Mark and Frank so...Pardon my ignorance and good luck with all your goals with the car.

Default All good...

if I hear from a bunch of people that your mounts are the $hit; i'd have no problem having them on my car and i hope that you guys feel the same towards me...

i hear lots of great things about the Stasis MM (kinda pricey) but I hear they are as good as solid mounts and yet not that harsh...

about the GT stuff.. I would have been all over your kit but I really felt like I got the you are "one of them" treatment (understandably)... and I think they shut me up by saying it will be around $20K and you have to ship your car here...

i hope we can all meet at some point... and play "king of the hill "
