Who is running the modified stock down pipes? a couple of ?'s
The stock ones with the pre cats gutted. Did you also get rid of some of the stock cats? Notice any power increase and was it worth it? I dont have the money for AWE downpipes but have access to another set of stock downpipes.

Didn't touch the main cats. I upgraded to K04's...
...simultaneously so it is hard to quantify a power increase, although having driven another K04 powered S4 with real downpipes, they feel very similar, so I'd hamper a guess that if real downpipes are good for 30hp, modifying the stock ones are good for 15-20hp of that. The best part is that it gets heat away from the turbos and that has probably contributed to a 10-20 degree drop in oil temperatures.
