why do people think the s4 has turbo lag? I dont feel any lag do you guys?

Drive an E36 M3 and you'll see. Instant power compared to STOCK s4.
Instant throttle response at all RPM levels is one of the things I miss about my 99M3. S4 power delivery just takes getting used to.

you really think so? unless i'm driving under 2100 rpms or so...the power delivery is instant or almost instant for me....i think DBW is to blame rather than turbos in almost any lag ever felt (north of 2kpms)...my opinon anyways..

You're right it could be the DBW but...
From a seat of the pants point of view, it seems like there is a moments hesitation then all of a sudden you get kicked in the pants.
On the M3, the second my foot touched the pedal, I get the same kick.
Keep in mind both cars have the same power, but in different ways. 0-60 will be damn close and that is given the S4 maximizes the AWD at launch.

it's noticable all right ...
after driving a nissan 300zx twin turbo for several years you notice lag. fortunately the S4 lag is 1/2 of what the z's was.
wonder what kinda' lag these boys w/ the k04's are feeling? must be similar to the z.

I agree, My 92Legend Coupe 5spd felt faster than the s4...
I know that the S4 is faster, but the Legend was a fast car and it felt quicker cause it had immediate acceleration at pretty much all rpm range. The S4 does take getting used to. Took me about 4 months to learn how to drive the car to where it actually felt fast to me.
