Why does Audi insist on vacuum actuated door locks?
The reason I ask is because VW moved to electric locks. My VW's locks are vacuum operated, as is the Audi's, and wouldn't you know it, there is a slight leak *somewhere*, so the vacuum pump keeps on running for an extended amount of time when the doors are unlocked/locked.
I was just curious on the reason why. Seems just about every car manufacturer in the world uses electrically actuated locks. Seems to me that it'd be easier than Audi/VW way of doing things.
Now I gotta hunt down the stupid leak and god only knows where it is in the system. Ugggh.
