Will I ruin a corner balance if I raise the rears up evenly a bit?
Got the car corner balanced, aligned and fender rolled yesterday. It handles great, but the rear ended up a little too low for my taste. Basically I want the camber closer to -1.0 (at -1.7 now).
To achieve this I'd like to raise it evenly on each side in the rear... So the question for you suspension gurus is will there be any danger in ruining the corner balance if I raise up the rear a bit? TIA!
(edited to make the post clearer)

Yes, you will destroy the balance if you raise/lower ANY of the corners.
The rears are lower now to shift some of the weight to the rear. That's a good thing - leave it that way. If you're more concerned with looks than handling, you should forget about corner balancing.

Actually its not the looks I'm worried about that much...
I know Stasis typically says to keep the rear slightly higher than the front to improve turn in. Right now the rear is running about -1.7 degrees camber and the front is -1.5 degrees. I'd like to get the rear camber a little bit closer to -1.0 by going up. Too bad I forgot to make this clear yesterday

I destroyed the handling of my KW V3 by raising the rear 0.4 of an inch
I did it for the looks, and the handling went to pot. I put it back right away
I am roughly 25.75 front 25.5 rear

Ugh - looks like you may have to realign/rebalance then.
It's usually best to give the alignment/balance guys your target height settings to achieve the alignment specs that you want, and then do the corner balancing afterwards.
Sorry, but you may be in for paying all over again...

Yeah, I'm getting that feeling... but I may have to do it anyway <more>
I'm getting a clunking in the rear like something is very loose over uneven pavement at low speeds. At first I thought it was my rear CPP links, but I checked them yesterday and they seem alright.
I did a little searching and it sounds like I have the exact problem a few others had where it turned out the shim stack inside the shock was rattling... Ughh...
At least my alignment is OK for now and I don't have to worry much about wrecking the tires or killing myself due to excessive toe.
Thanks for the input though!

I'm dealing with that issue on my Motorsports. Jason at STaSIS is telling me that it's the lower
eye bearings, and is selling me some replacements at $30/each. No realignment necessary to replace them if that is in fact the problem.

Hmmm, interesting... I'll look into that, for $30 each its worth a shot
Of course I'm not really sure what part the lower eye bearing is, but then again I'm mechanically declined... I'll talk to my mechanic next chance I get.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
