Default Windshield Replacement Please assist.

hey all,

looks as though I have a crack in the winshield which has grown to 1 ft. assuming you can't do a track event with a cracked windsheild I need one in the next 2 weeks.

WHo's gone the OEM route versus non OEM and what's it costing. Please let me know!

Thanks,

Dojo

Default Is there any way to go through your insurance?

I know that my policy allows me to replace windshields. You might want to check with your adjuster...I pay $50 to replace my windshields...much cheaper doing it this way.

I know but I didn't sign up for windsheild coverage. So it's outta pocket time.

Default I replaced mine

University's body shop told me to deal with "edge leading", they replace Univ.'s windshield and they use OEM windshield.
I had insurence but I still have to pay $100 for the deductible.
let me know if you need their phone #

Yeah, there seems to be a lot of variation for some reason.

Default Well...the freeways here in CA tend to necessitate the added Insurance unfortunately

I went through 3 windshields on my Integra and one in my A4. Recently a darn contractor's F150 spit a nail at my S...now there is a 1/4" crack right at the top of the driver's side...looks like its time for another $50.
