Default wonk, wonk, wonk noise help

Help! At low speeds my 2001 S4 makes that noise in time with the rotation of the wheels. This has been going on for the last year/45k. In reverse, it moans. I sat in traffic for 6 hours yesterday and my neighboring cars were staring at my wonk wonk noise the entire time. I am sick of this, and sick of being told that it doesn't exist.

The car has 90k on it, so only 10k of warranty left. The previous owner complained to the service department, as well, to no avail. This noise supposedly doesn't exist except according to the owners of the car.

Brakes and rotors have been changed, wheels moved around, backing plates adjusted. I think it is the front dif. Service mngr. won't budge unless it "breaks".

Any other similar noises/situations out there. Any Audi Service guys willing to take a real look at this problem? I'll drive about anywhere to get a good opinion. Thanks.

either unbalanced wheel, or a bad tire.

Something may be rubbing against your drive shaft or CV joint.

Thanks. What items could be rubbing? I have had both cv joints taken care of in the past year, and gone through 4 sets of tires. I need specific "what ifs" to take to the dealer - who isn't looking hard enough.
