Worked on the fog light removal/Canuck grill mod tonight. I am going about it differently. Rather
than have the new grills painted, I took a small die grinder with a round burr on it and buzzed across the top of each of the funny plastic rivets that hold the black portion to the body-colored portion of the grill. I think having the two pieces permanently together is a pretty dumb way to do it, as it would be a bitch for a body shop to do a good job of masking off the black part. It only took me about an hour to get everything apart, cleaned up, and ready to go back together. What I am going to do is shoot a little bit of epoxy into the plastic rivets instead of melting them like the factory (as soon as I find some more clamps to hold everything tightly together). Not only am I saving the $100+ to have the parts painted (not really that big of a deal), but I am getting the mod done much sooner and without any trips to the body shop. Just another way of doing it I thought you might want to hear about.
And after taking the old grills out to work on them - BOY HOWDY - those dorky fog lights fill up the hole in the duct to the intercooler. This mod has to help a little bit at least, because the fog lights are like a plug in the air channel. What were they thinking?

From my local dealer. $28 each. Took about four days to get them. I left the part numbers (courtesy
of Katana I believe?) at work but will try and remember to post them later.

Yep did that mod a long time ago. I wouldn't say that there is any driving performance
