Default Is it worth the $600 to switch from APR to GIAC

I did a search but didnt find much info on anyone who switched. Im wondering if its worth the money to switch. Im thinking more the race programs. Is the GIAC that much faster??

It is up top. Better have some money saved up though for repairs though, just in case.

Default Think they are pretty close. Very different driving characteristics between the two.

Why not get the APR100 program added if you haven't already done so? Don't think you'll get $600 worth of difference imo.

Default I've never used GIAC, I went w APR cause my first S4 went 145k miles on original turbos...

I've heard APR put's less stress on the turbos. I would assume it's slower than GIAC, but it's still fast as hell.

Default It has nothing to do with that chip you had, you just got lucky

that you did not blow the turbos. The turbos will blow with or without a upgraded chip.

I got the GIAC, can't speak for the APR. The GIAC is light and day over stock, around 4000 rpms it feels like you hit nitrous. I can't image it being worth $600 to switch though, but if you sold your old chip it could be. Check dyno result to compare.

So when it comes to aftermarket chips none put more stress on the car than others?

I think it has more to do with the design of the turbo setup in the car and how the car is driven.
