I thought that all maintainence was included in Audi Advantage. But the dealer said that it was covered under warranty. Is this correct? This just pisses me off!!!!

Default Maintenance covered for 4 years (3 years for 2000 cars) or 50k miles by Audi Advantage.

Is your warranty over for some reason other than years of ownership?

Default No, my car (2000) came out of warranty last month after 3 years ownership.

Is Audi Advantage an additional option that I had to pay for when buying the car? These scheduled maintanence is very costly.

you should not have to pay a dime if you're the original owner.

Default Sorry you're out of luck then, Audi Advantage is for 3 years or 50k miles, whichever comes FIRST ...

the 40k mile service looks like it doesn't amount to much more than an oil change (well they list a lot of things they are supposed to check, but i wouldn't count on your tech actually checking them). Have you considered just changing the oil and checking everything over yourself?

Default Orignal ownership does not matter. The warranty follows the car..

The warranty follows the car, not the original owner.

For 2000, it is three years from the original date in service, or 50,000 miles, which ever occurs first.

For the 2001 it is four years from the original date placed in service, or 50K (unless they bumped this up).

I am the second owner of a 2000. My warranty ends 07/15/03, unless I hit 50K prior to that, which is unlikely. Car had 7000 on it when I purchased it.

Default Time to find a quality european auto shop

There should be a quality shop in your area, if you ask the forum.

Most use Euro Motorworks here in Indy, when their warranty runs out. They provided excellant service and assistance on my last Audi.

Default unfortunately, they are right...

the extended warranty doesn't cover maintainace, just mechanical failure. $110 for the 40k actually isn't that bad... it costs $50 just for an oil change at my dealer.
