Default Just kidding..don't know where to get the X1, however Vast performance makes a nice one

that includes a big bore MAF housing and a heatshield, cost was around $600, it's on their website. Not sure on HP numbers though, probably would depend on mods, try contacting them.

Default X-1 air intake comes from "x-1 racer" here on the forum. Cost <$450, and shield kits <$300

Email I received from x-1:

Folks-

Thanks for all your inquiries. I've gotten so far behind with replies that I need to send out this formletter in an effort to cover some basic questions and cease being rude.

Obviously everyone's biggest question; WHEN. Getting small volumes of labor-intensive and niche-skill parts made, namely the shields, has proven a daunting task. The molds are at a shop back east now, they've been reworked to their preference, and they are starting to "pull". Production expectation is 5 to 7 a week once they're up to speed, but I'm facing a huge demand of anxious people.

Looks like I'm partnering up with another AW'er who's doing other independent aftermarket stuff. Hopefully we'll get squared away on an advertiser account and get a website up for sales soon too.

Technical: I have logs from my car showing improvements. Existing intake owners have logged improvements in intake temps and MAF readings, but even more will confirm smoother idle and part-throttle on aftermarket MAFs, and faster spool-up on almost any setup. Numbers are completely dependent on your car's mods, so I prefer not to share my numbers.
The intake can be set up to fit ANY MAF. I can sell it as just a shield kit if you already have an ITG filter, but I highly discourage the use of many of the other cotton-element filters out there, for flow properties, filtering quality, and oil requirements.

HOW MUCH? No promises, as my new fab is still gearing up, but complete kit target price will be <$450, and shield kits <$300.

Thanks for the patience and support!
