Default You win some, you lose some.

Here is me giving the pass to a very very fast stripped (under 2800 lbs) E36 with slicks and a small block V8 under the hood.

As usual, you need the DivX codec.<ul><li><a href="http://www.nogaroblue.net/Videos/E36V8.avi">Right click save as</a></li></ul>

Default That doesn't look too bad- You totally gave him the spot and he didn't work you...

much at all. He was on the throttle and you were obviously off and he didn't really pull you that hard.

In the straights it wasn't that bad, but he had serious scoot in the corners.

Can't beat 800+ lbs lighter and slicks. Still looked like a lot of fun!

Default why did you wait for him to pass you at corner exit instead of giving him the point-by

on the long left sweeper?

timing would've been better to keep it safer for both of you, since he could've washed out and slammed into you.

Default Because this is a track day in the Czech Republic...

which means...

-No instruction/tech
-No helmets (I had mine on)
-No rules

I saw him coming in the rear view mirror and knew he was much faster than me...so I pulled way way outside the chicane and gave him all the room in the world. If he overcooked the chicane, he would have gone straight and by me on the left.

If I would have waited, he probably would have done something stupid to pass. Track events like this are a little different than in the US to say the least.

I know what you are saying, but in this case it was better to get my *** out of the way ASAP.

Default He hesitated before he passed too. I agree it would have been safer on the straight, but this is

the kind of guy who will pass you as soon as he can.
