I say no. Sure, Alfas of 2 generations ago were goofy as all hell, and somewhat crappy, but do they fit into the same garbage category? BMW and Mercedes certainly have had fluctuations in quality, but are hardly garbage, even the worst years. Jaguars even? I wouldn't even say late 80s, early 90s Jags were garbage.

C4 Vettes, OTOH, are absolute garbage. C5s I haven't been in at all really, can't say. And the one C6 I drove was magical (significantly modded). Will that eventually be considered garbage too?
