Yes, this would be easier than using sheets of vinyl. I may consider this, but for now I prefer to just keep it the original color and have no issue with the bumperplugs....I am just happy to not have a front plate holder!

The window trim is a gloss finish vs a matte finish on the decal sheet product. Unless you are looking for the "bling" effect......I'd recommend using only a matte finish!

I used this stuff from Amazon:


It was easy to cut since the height is consistent from one end to the other for all three slats. They're all different slightly sizes, but they are consistent from end to end. I think it looks much better than the grey colored slats.

The 3M Shadowline tape does come with a Matte finish too. You can also search eBay using "3M gray vinyl" and find many shades of gray sheet vinyl and some auctions send samples of the shades.

Don't search using 50 Shades of Gray. I didn't find much vinyl that way...
