Extended warranty was used recently for these items on the 75K service inspection.

1) Air strut line fitting leaking
2) front upper link bushings torn
3) faulty engine mount replaced

Around 3K, most of it was for labor.

wow... not chump change!

Thanks for the info.

I'm trying to figure out if an extended warranty makes sense for me.

i am looking at purchasing a new S6. Dealer said it comes with 4 year 50k warranty. I can pay $4800 for extended warranty that will extend it to 100k miles or if I recall correctly 10 years. It’s expensive but may make sense if I plan to keep the car.

Audicare is offered at $999 for services 2-5 which include oil changes a couple of brake flushes and a spark plug change.

That appears to be a reasonable deal if you intend to keep the car that long. You can also purchase and negotiate the extended warranty anytime before the new car warranty expires. That is what I did when I was sure I was holding onto the car long term, now at 85k miles.

Audi Care is the no brainer here.... 10k service is free no matter what of course but each follow on service is minimum $350 and the 35k is plugs and other things and, if I recall correctly, is north of $650....

I was able to buy 7 year/100k mile Fidelity Platinum coverage with a $250 deductible for $3800 when I picked up my 2018 S6 last week. No brainer deal just the same as the Audi Care for anyone keeping their car beyond 50k.

Did you purchase this through Audi? Would Audi do all repairs after 50k or a third party?
