New Spacers

I really wonder if that makes a difference. I do have the Pirelli's and they are "funny". The rim is actually wider than the contact patch (and consequently the portion of the tire that is nearest to the fender). When I look at the offset with the 12/15 setup, I feel like the rim is perfect, but the top of the tire is in another 1/2" from the rim which makes it look further in. I hope you follow what I'm trying to say. I'll post some hi-rez pics when I get around to cleaning the car and taking them.

I have some 15mm and 8mm spacers from my S4 that I'm going to try. I also happen to have some 20mm and 5mm from the same car, but those seem out of line here.
I have the Pirelli's as well, and what I believe you're referring to is the "stretching" of the tire on the wheel. The math should be such that the 255mm wide tire sits just wider than the wheel, which at 8.5" is 216mm wide, or 40mm narrower than the widest point on the tire, which isn't the contact patch. So, two things at play...(1) the cross section on the Pirelli's has a severe curve to it and/or (2) you don't have 255s on your car. I believe the former.
It seems that all the performance setups on the B8/C7 models are gravitating around the same 19x8.5 + 255/35 setup. Aside from scale economies (if I see those split 5-spoke 18s (s4) and 19s (s6) and 20s (s8) again, I might plotz), there can't be a great reason for all the overlap, aesthetically.

You had vibrations on other cars, how is that relevant? If dont have the spacers properly fitted with proper lugs, who knows what you would get. There is no vibration at any speed or braking. Actually, I have a spacers on all of my cars, and never had a problem.
The fitment of these spacers on the hub and the wheel is just perfect.
