Default Picking my first Audi

I have a series of questions I was looking for help with. I travel for work and have been doing it in a base model corolla with no cruise control so I want a fun car now instead. I am certain of only one thing...that is I want an s car. I have tested the s4 and s6 and am at this point leaning towards the s6. I am looking for a reliable efficient car that is comfortable and fun to drive with modding potential later on when I won't depend on the car as much as I do now. Reliability is key. I liked the S6 for the nice silent ride where it seemed the s4 offered more road noise even though I thought the where both awesome to drive. I am defiantly buying used with a budget of 35k give or take. Does anyone of have anything to say for or against in a three car race S3 S4 and S6? Next question, I live in PA but am working in CA for a while. I was thinking about buying a car while I was out here, then I heard there can be a bunch of extra emissions equipment on California cars. Is that still true for these audis with model years of 2013 and newer? I never had ocasion to know about this kind of thing as this is my first time to the west coast but just want to make sure it isnt a better idea to go buy my car on the east coast when im back home because of this.

Any input I get is much appreciated thank you all so much for the help!

There is no more emissions equipment on CA cars. All of them have catalytic converters across the USA and the exhaust system is the same everywhere. As far as modding make sure to hit us up in at BMS for a JB4. It can be removed without a trace and adds great power. You can adjust different maps via out bluetooth module with your cell phone. There are threads on it on this forum, and unlike a flash you can adjust it as mentioned or go back to stock in seconds. Nothing really like it for the S6. You will be running 11's in the 1/4 mile in no time! You can even lower boost if you like on launch since all 4 tires will be spinning on a hard launch! If reliability is key, a $35K used first year S6 wouldn't be my first choice. Get yourself a used Lexus
