I currently have a 2016 A7. I am considering getting an S7 and want to get the APR Stage ! tune but have heard of concerns associated with the dual-clutch not being able to handle the increased torque. Has anyone done the upgrade and can provide some feedback on any transmission issues? Thank you in advance.

I haven't heard of many transmission issues with a Stage 1 tune. Here's a link to a 1/4 4.0L database. Many are Stage 2 and 2.5. Ask them how their transmissions are holding up.

i have not had any issues running Stage I....going to Stage II as we speak.

I just traded my 2016 S7 with APR1 tune for a TTRS on order. I ran my S7 a couple times at the drag strip, beat BMW 3 & 5. It ran great with no transmission problems. Had the tune taking off for the dealer trade and what a differance. The car was really quick with the Stage1, great car and I'm going to miss it. Just didn't need a four door anymore.
