Why Audi of America tries to push anyone who wants a practical car which can haul stuff as well as people to buy a bloated SUV is beyond me. The rest of the world gets those beautiful sporty station wagons, but not us.

Anyway, end of rant. My option selections are:

Cold Weather, Driver Assist, Comfort Seats, LED headlights, Power door closing, floor and cargo mats, and carbon inlays

I am also waiting on the price from the dealer for a special order of the Daytona Gray Matte paint offered on the RS7. If its ridiculous, I'll probably go with Oolong Gray or maybe Moonlight Blue.

My only choice remaining is size of wheels - 19" vs 20" (the latter with or without the "black optic") package. Any thoughts on the advantages of the larger wheels? Anyone seen a photo of the "black optic" (which I think is different from the "black edition" offered in the UK)?

Thanks.
Here's a 2014 Glacier White for sale with the Black Optic option....

I just heard from my dealer. Car is in production and expected to be "in port" on August 26th. Dealer tells me it will be at their location 3-7 days later.

So. . .for those curious, i placed the order on June 26th, got production details on July 23rd with a delivery estimate of late August/Early Sept.

Still contemplating some addons:

Lusting after the Passport 9500ci. . .but just can't justify the $2,000 installed price tag. that's obscene. At the same time, not a fan of a detector device sitting on the dash or in the windshield.

XPel Ultimate. . . .trying to get a handle on the price and a local installer. Will have to decide if I go the "full" installation or just he bra and high-impact areas.

I will add clear bra, hard wired Valentine 1. Thinking of getting dedicated winter tires and rims, but still undecided.

Can't wait to get the car. Pictures in 3-4 months
Took delivery 2 weeks ago today. Really feeling good about the decision to get an S7(estoril blue). Not much chance to enjoy to date, but, that will change quickly.

I am very very close to ordering one. I was worried about the wheels on the Black Optic package but they don't look bad at all on that car. I just have to decide if the driver assistance package is worth it or not.

I have Distronics on MB E 550 . I will not ever not own a car without. If you do a lot of highway traveling you will be spoiled set the cruse and sit back and steer. The car will hold its spot in traffic.

It is your choice, but I would strongly recommend full hood rather than bra and make sure to get the edges wrapped as well.

Default Build Date..... Finally

OK, so I finally received my build date.

The week of Oct. 7th my S7 comes to life.

Any idea of how long after that I would see the car? 1 month sound about right?

Default Took Delivery

First time poster here. I took delivery of my 2014 S7 a couple days ago. The build was ordered back in May so it took a little over 4 months end to end. My options:

- Phantom Black
- Lunar Silver
- Black Optic Package
- LED Headlights
- Carbon Atlas Inlays
- Black Headliner

I'm still in awe over what's in my garage and I just about slept in there. 3M clear bra and tint to follow.
