Can’t figure this out
Top picture is driver side with the vents open and radiator behind.
Bottom picture is the passenger side with most of them closed except one little hexagon plus a very small section of the one below and to the right (as you’re facing). I can just see behind and cannot see a radiator on this side. My question is does everyone have this one little section punched out? Never noticed before.

Here is a screenshot of someone else that had posted pics of their S7. It too shows the vents closed on the passenger side of the vehicle with the exception of this very small section. . Is it really possible that some vehicles have it open and some have it closed. For those that have it open, what is behind?

Had my car in for service for an unrelated problem and asked the technician about this and he mentioned that only one side is supposed to be open (the side with the inter cooler). Clearly there are S7’s that have both open. Why is this the case? Anybody else curious?

Yes. I have the sports package which here in Canada includes 1) Sport Quattro Rear diff. 2)Red Brake Calipers. 3) Dynamic all wheel steering and 4) Dynamic steering.
Not sure if this means anything but both my car and the vehicle I took a screenshot of are both Canadian vehicles as I can recognize the Ontario plates on the blue one. Could it be that the vent is closed in Canadian vehicles but open in American models? If this is the case, I would really love to get to the bottom of this and find out specifically why? Americans on the board, check your vehicles and chime in, Canadians please do the same. Must be a good reason.
