Default Just placed deposit on a future build

North American websites are asking for $5000.00 to “reserve” the new S7. Obviously they are not ready to order until at least August but I was encouraged to put some money down to get my place in line. Are supply of these vehicles going to be that limited and demand that high to warrant this ? I would love to start seeing some test drives on YouTube but for now all that is available is the diesel. Even the website gives a general statement of “ over 400 hp “. Audi must know the specifics by now wouldn’t you think (hp, acceleration times) ????

My initial thought is to order the Daytona grey pearl effect with the red interior.

What websites?

this is going to do absolutely nothing for you getting a spot ahead of others at this point. Orders arent being taken yet

Sorry, should have qualified, I meant to say the North American Audi website. Each dealer will get their allotment and placing this refundable deposit puts you in cue. The Audi web site for Canada asks for $5000.00, not sure what it is in US. My dealer said if I put down 2 grand, they will put my name on one of the allotted vehicles.

Also should mention that although orders are not being taken, Audi website clearly indicates that this is a “Reserve Yours Now” process, so I think that it absolutely does allow you to get a spot ahead of others.

The Audi USA site has no mention of any reserve process nor is the build guide published. Can’t say for how Canada does things they are a completely separate entity vs Audi USA

I see the S6 sedan on Audi Canada but didn’t see anything about the RS6

I see that now. Canadian site is totally different. We have the “Reserve Yours Now” tab which prompts you to put 5000 down. Interesting. Weird move Audi.

The S7 gaser will have the same motor that is in the RS5. twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6 engine with 450 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. The Autogefühl video that is out says about 4.1 sec for the 2.9.

Yes, I am aware of other sources that quote horsepower and 0-60 times. The engine is also widely used in the Panamera S models and the Cayenne S, so consumers can get a rough idea of the outputs. What I find incredulous is that with this model being a mere few months before going into production, the best the Audi Canada website can muster up is the general statement of “over 400 hp”. They are taking deposits of $5000.00 and so I think I would like a little better information than just that. I can tell you that if it turns out to be 401 hp, I will be asking for my money back.
