Despite the poor reporting, it sounds to me like the Audi was pushed into oncoming traffic
by a different car that lost control.

per SL Tribune, it was the Audi's fault
Two dead after morning crash in Provo Canyon

Two people were killed Monday morning when an Audi rammed into two other cars in Provo Canyon, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.
An 18-year-old man from Mapleton, who was a passenger in the Audi, died between 11 a.m. and noon, UHP spokesman Cameron Roden said. The 17-year-old driver from Heber also died.
Ambulances responded to U.S. Highway 189 near Bridal Veil Falls about 8:30 a.m., Roden said. They took the two teens to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center where they were later pronounced dead. Two other men in the car, who were about the same age, were listed in fair and serious condition, Roden said.
The crash happened when the Audi, which was traveling east, drifted into westbound traffic, clipped an SUV and then struck a Dodge truck. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. No one in the SUV was injured, Roden said.
It appears the driver of the Audi was speeding on a wet road when he lost control, Roden said.
All lanes of traffic in the area of the crash were opened late Monday morning.

http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_11288457</a
