Default VAG COM tweaks for the D4 A8

I tested some of the ones intended for other models, as well as playing with the VCDS to check for anything not included. Here's a link to disabling automatic lowering in the hidden menu of the C7 A6, but it may also be applicable to the D4 A8;

Jack; great share! I live in Northern VA and I'd like to do some VAG-COM tweaks to my D4. I don't have the equipment, and I don't know that I'd be comfortable doing this on my own if I did. Do you know of any nearby dealers or shops that would do this for me?

I can't say which dealers will do these for you, you'll have to ask the local ones. If you have any intention of doing any work yourself on your Audi at all, the VAG COM is required equipment. You could look around the forums for any Virginia folk who may be amenable to lend you theirs. They are quite easy to use.

No worries. I can not confirm the upshift showing on the dash, please let me know if that works for you. It's not something I myself wanted to do, but someone else her may be.

I am new to the A8 D4 world. I have just purchased a 2012 4.2 and was hoping for a slight cleaner look.

Can anyone help me with the vcds security key to lower? "31564" is not working.

Please assist and I want to thank everyone in advance.

Regards,

Exam23

Hey Jack88

Excellent work - Much appreciated.

Curious to know if you've come across coding for activating Dynamic turn signaling - like the Euro A8s?

Been looking for this tweak for some time now....

I have this:
Ross-Tech Store: VCDS License with HEX-USB+CAN Unlimted VIN (All VAG)
It works well to do anything I need to do.

If I where to do it over I would spend the extra on this:
Ross-Tech Store: VCDS License with HEX-NET (WiFi/USB) Unlimited VINs (All VAG)
To me it's worth it just so i don't have to deal with a wire.
