Gear box drain plug removal
Im trying to get access to drain bolt of my gear box but the oxygen sensor its on my way and cant fit my hex bit.
Could there be a problem if I bend this wired part just a little to the side to gain access to drain bolt?

I managed to remove it with a hex key attached to a long tube to break loose the drain plug. But still I would like to know any other method to do it for future projects. That oxygen sensor is just an inch below this drain plug, I barely could fit my hex key.

Put the hex key in a vise and using a cutting wheel on a dremel tool or an angle grinder, lop off a quarter inch or so. Once you know the hex key size you could buy a single one of the correct size (10mm?) cut it to the length you need and have it for tight clearance use. Pro mechanics modify a lot of tools to suit specific jobs.

Remove the oxygen sensor??? There is usually enough slack in the cables to the rear sensors remove the sensors without disconnecting the cable.
And, BTW, always remove the fill bolt BEFORE removing the drain bolt. Ask me how I know!!!
