I'm considering buying a 2018 TT Roadster. I know this is likely a foolish question, but are there any aftermarket options for increasing storage, say for a weekend camping trip or like.
thx.

Perhaps a trailer hitch?

Depends on the size of the tent. There’s a ski pass through from the trunk that may be large enough for a small tent. I’m six foot and can still put a few small items behind my seat (light jacket, hat, etc.). Why not take the items you would normally take on a trip to your Audi dealer and see if it fits?

Sound advice. I did this very thing to make sure all my track stuff would fit in a Cayman S before I bought it. The dealer was amused, but very helpful.

Look at a trunk carrier.

The problem is that the seller says the spoiler can't be deactivated. It's only compatible with mk1 and mk2 models.

All the 'cool' small convertible owners around here (think Miata) are sporting the trailer (to carry their surf boards / windsurfing boards + gear / Mountain bikes, etc). It says "I'm cool rocking the impractical hauler... but, I got it covered".

Check out Bird Automotive. They sell a rear mount that looks to fit two golf bags. And is compatible with the mk3. Pricey, but I may buy for my stand up paddle boards.

Have not seen the Mk 3 manual but the Mk 1 and Mk 2 specifically state that towing with a TT is not allowed. On the plus side, the Mk 3 trunk is slightly larger than the Mk 2 roadster and has a compact spare which the Mk 2 does not.
