Default 2018 Q5 :(

I have an audi Q5 2018, bought December 2017
Pretty sure I have the base model.
2.0T, 45 TFSI

I don't have navigation, apple carplay, or android auto.
A number of things cross my mind whenever I go trying to find my destination. I also got some really ugly rims too. Spending a fortune but only getting this specs are really saddening.
$ingapore Problems

Any idea how I can get carplay or android auto or maybe nav installed?

But yet you bought a car that didn't have what you wanted?

Are you in the USA?

Assume you know that you can use Android Auto with just your phone. get a mount, maybe a vent type and give it a try. With Google Assistant it works very well with just voice commands. And you can set it to load as soon as it senses that you are in the vehicle. Works very well, I use it sometimes in town because it"s so simple and fast even though I have it built in to the vehicle.

The original poster probably has the base audio system without navigation.

After market Android solutions are coming. Please refer to this thread. https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q5-...creen-2945291/

Just a wild guess, but they and their Samsung are in Singapore. Yes, the government there charges huge amounts. Prefers people not to drive their own cars. No is the short answer AFAIK. Would cost a fortune to put in an MMI Plus system after production. Trade the car.

Pretty sure you should have figured out what you have and spent your $ on.

Not sure if they ship to Signapore but look into hartmann wheels. Decent quality, OEM replicas, and IMO looks better than the ones Audi is offering us (in the US anyway).

One of the things I am investigating now is in this thread
https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q5-...screen-2945291
This could replace most of your MMI needs.

So basically, at the time of purchase, I didn't really had a choice. Let's just say the Audi Dealership is charging $30 grand more than the shop I was getting it from. The Q5s in Singapore that aren't from the dealership are imported from Hong Kong, made in mexico still.

They are base models, with no nav no carplay.
The ones with $30g more, the dealership ones, are "premium plus" units, VC, Larger centre screen, nav

I didn't get the one from the dealership as it's $30G more man.

I didn't wait any longer to purchase as Singapore's government decided to give new car owners a hell of a tax, closing in on $20G if I purchased the vehicle in 2018. I bought mine mid-december 2017 so I saved that $20Gs, made a decision quick.

After owning for closing in on 3 months, I realised that I wanted to have Nav or at least smtg for me to connect my phone to hahahah

I wouldn't have changed my car if it wasn't because of Singapore's age restricted cars. Had my trusty 7 seat suv for 9.5 years before it urged me that I need a replacement quick
