Q5 2010, 3.2L, steering wheel shuddering
Hi,
I am facing this issue in my 2010 Q5, 3.2L,
In complete stop when turning the steering wheel to the left i feel a huge shuddering in the steering wheel and the left front tire also
i have noticed through my research online that the replacement of the power steering hose can solve this problem
any advise??!!
thanks in advance

I replaced the hose on my Q5 2.0T 2009 with the newest revision (2017 at the time). Note for Q5 they never issued a TSB or a TPI. It was only offered on other B8 family but not for Q5 as far as I know. The concept however is the same and should apply to Q5s too even though not directly.
Yes there was some shuddering at the beginning after replacing with the newest part, but of a lesser magnitude, which eventually diminished to zero. Not sure if it was the stop leak SW fluid I added that helped.

For PR-1N3 which was mine (this is servotronic, best technology ever, you can thus retrofit Audi Drive Select) Part no depends if your Q5 is LHD or RHD
LHD: 8R1 422 893 AD.
RHD: 8R2 422 893 AD.

The part is called Expansion hose from vane pump to steering gear but this part is different for 1N1 (power steering) 1N3 (servotronic) and 1N7 (dynamic steering) (check which type you have)

Not hard and not very expensive. I purchased the full kit which came with german instructions. (Cut and paste to Google translate)
