Default Side Reflectors on Q5/SQ5

Hello,

Just picked up a '19 Daytona Grey SQ5 Premium Plus w/ Black Optics, 21' rims, S Sport Package. Great car so far. Was curious of any solutions to "get rid" of the awful side reflectors? Was thinking of painting over them with Audi Touch Up paint? Has anyone tried this? Any other suggestions?

I remember reading a few threads on here that discussed this. I believe the options were to use an adhesive/tint or to replace them with body colored lenses.

Here’s the thread. There’s a link to the replacement reflectors on Tag Motorsports.

You and I have similar cars. I went with the Tag Motorsports replacements. Others have called the option pricey, but it was worth it to me because of the great match and because the OEM reflectors had to go.

I paid $10 for my local tint shop to cover them.

For anyone that ordered the side reflectors from TAG (I just did them), how hard are they to install?

I have the painted reflectors from TAG. They did the install on mine, as I live about 30 minutes from their shop in SoCal. The tech took about 30-40 minutes to do the job. It helped that they have lifts to get the fender/wheel well area chest high while the work was being done. From what I remember, the project consisted of wheel well cover removal/loosening to access the reflector, remove the original reflector and adhesive, then install the new one.

Has anyone used the laminate-x for the side markers?

I have the florescent silver, which color would match for the side markers?
