One Week of Ownership
Today is my official one-week ownership anniversary. This car has been a dream and has exceeded my expectations in every way (save for my selection of Virtual Cockpit theme which seems to reset itself haphazardly and for no apparent reason). Granted, I am an ideal candidate for an EV. I only lost 60 miles of range in a week! I only recharged over the weekend to make sure my Juice Box Pro 40 worked properly. This is by far the smoothest-riding car I've ever owned. The cabin quiet is amazing. Even my dog, who usually has issues with loud noises, seems perfectly comfortable riding in the backseat.Fit and finish is Audi-like, i.e. great. I discover nice little touches every day. My favorite so far is the garage door opener which senses when I'm close to home, and drops down a larger button for ease of activation. Wireless Apple Car Play has worked flawlessly so far. I guess I've avoided some of the electronic SNAFUs that have affected others.
My initial order was for Galaxy Blue with Beige interior. When my car arrived, there was very little the dealer was able to do on the price, so I decided to pass. That car sold the next day. I kept an eye on dealer inventory, and 3 weeks later, this red car showed up. Since red was my second choice, I got in touch with the dealer, and they were much more responsive and able to "deal" than before! I guess having seven cars on the lot is a motivating factor! I also think being interested in the red car helped me as the color is just not that popular around here. I think it looks stunning. You can judge for yourselves. I'll keep updating as I put more miles on it, but safe to say that so far, I absolutely love it!

Looks like we have the same color, trim, and wheels. People comment on the color all the time. So few reds out there like this! I'm with you thrilled with the car. Well done and congrats!

The red is beautiful! My Antigua Blue will be here in a couple of weeks and my dealer says nobody else ordered it. Another rare color - it looks like robins egg blue in photos but in person it contains a rich aqua green tint -- nice.
You mentioned the garage opener..... From reading the manual it looks like we can program the asterisk button on the steering wheel to do that function, which I plan to do.

I'm actually surprised at all the positive comments! I think people like red but are too shy to pull the trigger on a bright red car, unless it's a Ferrari ;-)

This would have to be one of the buggiest MMI’s I’ve used on an Audi. This is my 4th owned Audi and am not overly impressed with the MMI at all.
The wireless CarPlay keeps connecting and disconnecting when not if use. Every minute you will see the message “connected” then disconnected.
The last destinations in navigation hardly ever work.
Lost my home screen settings twice now
When my wife is in the car it fights over who’s phone gets connected. She was upstairs on a call the other day and as I was about to leave the house her phone connected to the car and call transferred through to the car.
for some reason the shortcut menu shows up on the bottom screen and constantly have to close it by tapping the 3 squares.
Audi Connect won’t actually bring anything up since Sunday even though the car says it’s logged in.
Every time I get in the car the MyAudi App just opens on my phone. I don’t know why considering the app is really just a data reporting tool.
There’s no point going to the dealer as they will just say there is no update for the car. I really wish Audi had implemented OTA updates. If you’re going to make software that’s this buggy then make a way of quickly fixing it.
The dealers will never be proactive and tell you to come by for a software update so it’s going to be a case of constantly chasing them up. I don’t think Audi lists the latest firmware anywhere on their site as a reference check either.
great car but the MMI is a fail in my opinion

Speaking of MyAudi, were you able to start the air conditioning remotely? I tried and tried and kept getting a "could not connect to the car" message.
I still love this car though. A pleasure to drive.
