Engine not working properly after changing timing belt and chain tensioner 1.8T
Hello!
This is my first thread here.
I recently replaced timing belt and chain tensioner on my 1.8T 02 audi a4 and got some problems with starting, namely the car shakes when putting to D or R (automatic transmission) and an error code appeared P0012 and never came back after I deleted it.
To replace the timing belt, I decided to dismantle the bumper, remove the radiator, unplug the plugs and drain the coolant to have easier access. I took some pictures of how I installed and adjusted timing.. If anyone could give me advice on where to start diagnosing the problem and what could be the problem, I would be grateful.
Crankshaft
Camshaft (exhaust)
Camshaft (Exhaust)
Cmashaft (Intake)
should be 16 rollers between both cams

Any particular reason why you changed the cam chain tensioner out? Typically non-OEM ones fail early or don’t work properly. If you used an aftermarket one in, I suggest changing the pads over to your original one and putting it back in.
