Default 2.7t cam tensioner not expanding

Welp, I'm here.
Yep, it broke... Again....
Let's start from square 1
2001 Audi A6 2.7t 01E
Bought from a mechanic buddy of a buddy mechanic (I know, always stupid) Should have check timing belt before taking anyone's word. Belt sheered on fire up, about a month later going out the door to work and took every intake and most exhaust valves with it. I've since revalved both heads with new gaskets, seals, all the goodies. (Properly timed, tools and all)

Fired it up after priming. Ran BEAUTIFUL so I assembled the front clip and topped off her juices. Let it get to temp, took it for a drive. Approximately 4 minutes later I decided to TOUCH the boost..

This turned into a blown set rings on cylinder 5.
Since, it has been reringed (on that 1 cylinder I know stupid but one problem at a time.) and sealed up on the bottom end plus grease/grime removal from the utter lack of passion and caring tbe last owner had.

First fire up and I am still getting a cylinder 5 misfire.
Mind you I ran compression test 1 and 165 psi, great.
Put everything back together and fired her again. Still misfiring on that cylinder.
Compression test 2 ~20 PSI (Disheartened I called it a night.)
Compression test 3 the next morning ~165 again
Compression test 4,5,6 165
Sweet, maybe after all I was granted me this one pleasure. So I threw in a plug and coil, misfiring AGAIN.
Compression test 7 0 psi
Compression test 8 25 PSI
At this point I decided I was going to open the valve cover to investigate, only to find my tensioner was dang near fully collapsed and every time turned over, the tensioner causes slack at the top between intake and exhaust.

Clearly this needs addresses, but I want to know if that is a sign of failure of internal spring or a failure of oil pressure.

Sorry for the spiel I want you to have the full story, no holding out.

Codes:
Cylinder 5 Misfire
bank 2 performance low

The oil pressure only adjusts the timing of the two cams relative to each other. The tension on the chain is independent of the oil pressure... Time for a new tensioner.

Could disassemble and inspect the non-working tensioner for sludge.

I have seen a few that just needed a good cleaning because they were sticky.

I Ordered a new cheap one so I will be swapping that in this week. I will clean up and put all the orfaces of the old one when I do remove it. I need to pull the motor again in the next 5k miles for a stage 2 puck so if I can bring it back to life I will repad and throw it back in there. I have my doubts it seems like the internal spring has collapsed, but anything is worth a shot to keep good quality German parts internally!
