Door will not open!
Hello,
I'm having some strange, intermittent problems with my central locking system. At times, the remote works fine, the "plunger" on the door(s) go up and down, but I cannot open the door, it's as if it's still locked. It only happens on the front doors, I can get in through the rear doors, try and pull the inside lever twice to open the front door, still nothing, it's as if it's still locked.
I can start it up, drive for 10min. and everything seem to reset itself and works fine (for a few days).
Any thoughts or similar experiences?

if it works while the car is on, i suspect the vacuum pump...
why? because when the car is on, you have 14.4 volts. and the vacuum lines to the front doors are longer than the rears. It may just be the vacuum pump not providing enough vacuum to the front doors.
the part where you say you climb in and try opening with the latch twice throws me off. maybe the lock is stuck in limbo. under waranty? bring it in. this is a huge liability for audi NOT fix.

...no, it still does not work when the car is running. I try and open the door from the inside latch and it acts as if it is locked ("plunger" is in the up position). In the past 10 to 15 minutes of driving seemed to "fix" the problem. This time, the passenger door still will not open after over an hour of driving.

Re: Your physical lock is likely loose -- you might need to open the door panel and take a look.
Well, I thought that too until today when BOTH front doors would not open. Previously, only the passenger front door showed this problem. It's now migrated to another door.
