Default Does anyone remount wheels to extend their wear? I took out much of the outer edge at track, but the

inside edge still looks OK. If I had the front tires swapped to be backwards on the rims and swapped side-to-side they would be rotating the right way.

Any reason to not do this?

Default I do with track tires.

I reverse the tire on the wheel, and it has lengthened the life of the Kumhos. I was thinking about doing this for the street tires too, but they would have to be pretty worn on one side.

Default At my next rotation I will have them remounted. My understanding is that the inside edges will wear

because the car is lowered.

Not at the track. It's all on the outside edge on my fronts. Need more neg camber!

Absolutely correct! Bust this dumb myth, we need a LOT more camber.

Default It all depends on your alignment!!

You can run with the 1.5deg of neg camber in the front (when the car is lowered), but if you have a little toe in (like 1/16" or so), you can have very even wear on the tires.

At the track, it's a different story. If you have a good street alignment like I mentioned above, you will wear the outside edge of your tires on the track.

Default Some tires are designed with an "inside" and "outside" edge, check before remounting...

I moved my fronts to the rear to longer life. I also swapped the worse worn tire for my fresh spare. I have Michelin Pilot SX tires that have survived 5 track events.
