Help anyone - - Short?
Just picked up a new noise on a '00 A6 Avant after 5000 miles.
Anyone ever hear a "buzzing" electrical short type sound coming from behind the head unit (heard from inside) and/or the back of the engine compartment?
This occurs now when turning the key to the acc. power (engine off) position. When you first turn the key, the car makes the typical power up sounds, then this buzzing noise seemingly spools up to its full volume. This is different from the standard power up sound as it persists and is fairly loud. Hard to tell if it's still there when the engine is running and/or if the climate control is on.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
